Thirteen people live in this thatched-roof

The Pech’ Puc family first stirs at 5:30 a.m. Thirteen people live in this thatched-roof adobe house, located in a village of farmers who grow the crops of their ancestors: corn, beans, and squash. The state, Quintana Roo, earned ten billion dollars from tourism last year, but little of that has trickled down to the smallest Maya communities.
